
Orange At Oklahoma In 2026 ACC/SEC Challenge

Syracuse will play at Oklahoma for the first time in the annual ACC/SEC Challenge. The Orange and the Sooners will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2026, in the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla.
The Syracuse-Oklahoma Series:
     Syracuse is playing in the ACC/SEC Challenge for the third straight season and have a 2-1 record in the competition. The Orange defeated LSU in 2023-24, lost at #3 Tennessee in 2024-25, and defeated #13 Tennessee last season.
Syracuse
    Former Syracuse standout Gerry McNamara enters his first year at the helm of his alma mater. McNamara spent the last two seasons in charge at Siena, where he led the Saints into the 2026 NCAA Tournament. The Orange have two returning sophomores, Kiyan Anthony and Sadiq White Jr., to go with six transfers and four freshmen who were added to the roster.
Oklahoma
     Oklahoma was 21-16 a season ago. The Sooners finished strong with two wins in the SEC Tournament and a spot in the College Basketball Crown championship game. Porter Moser is preparing for his sixth season at Oklahoma. The Sooner roster includes guard Pop Isaacs, who has accumulated 1,277 career points in stops at Texas Tech, Creighton and Texas A&M.

- The two teams have split the previous four meetings.
- Syracuse won the first pairing, a 55-49 decision at home on Dec. 23, 1948.
- On Jan. 7, 1984, Oklahoma triumphed at Syracuse, 98-91.
- The Orange defeated the Sooners, 63-47, on March 30, 2003, during their NCAA Tournament run to the 2003 Championship.
- The most recent game came in the 2009 NCAA Tournament, when Oklahoma won 84-71 on March 27.
