
Flood Hired as MBB Sports Data Analyst

Aidan Flood '26, a former data intern with the Syracuse men's basketball program, has joined the staff as sports data analyst.

SPORTS DATA ANALYST
Flood's responsibilities include data analysis for recruiting, scouting analytics, player development analytics, and data strategy design. He will collect and analyze data on potential recruits by developing statistical models to evaluate and predict player performance and potential. His opponent scouting tasks will include reviewing game footage and statistical data to assess opponent strategies and player performance, and create reports. Flood will track and report on individual metrics in the areas of nutrition, performance and health that will assist in the creation of player development programs. He will work in conjunction with the coaching and training staffs.

SYRACUSE TIES
Flood began his association with the men's basketball program as a performance intern in May 2024. In the fall of 2025, he became the head scouting intern and was later promoted to interim lead data analyst.

His responsibilities included opponent analysis, transfer prospect evaluation and supervising other student interns working in data analysis.

Flood was a performance intern with the Syracuse football program from March 2024 to August 2025. He presented live data to coaches during practice sessions and identified trends in athlete health data.

He graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse in 2026 with a bachelor's degree in sport analytics from the Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. Flood minored in finance. He earned dean's list recognition in six semesters.
