Turner Named Preseason All-ACC

'Cuse Picked Fifth in Coaches Poll
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Syracuse University sophomore field hockey standout Aubrey Turner has been named to the Preseason All-ACC Field Hockey Team. The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) announced its annual preseason list Friday morning.
In addition to Turner's selection, the League announced its 2026 ACC Field Hockey Preseason Coaches Poll. Syracuse was predicted to finish fifth in the league with 41 points. North Carolina was picked first with 73 points and four first-place votes. Virginia was second with 68 points and two first-place votes. Duke and Wake Forest tied for third with 64 points apiece. The Blue Devils received one first-place nod while the Demon Deacons picked up a pair. Boston College was voted sixth with 31 points with Stanford (27), Louisville (19) and California (17) rounding out the poll.
Turner had a breakout freshman season, racking 18 points behind seven goals and four assists. The Downingtown, Pennsylvania native logged two multi-goal games, including her collegiate debut against Lock Haven. She later tagged Wake Forest for a pair, helping eliminate the Demon Deacons from the ACC Tournament. Turner scored the deciding shootout goal in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Liberty to push the Orange into the Quarterfinals for the second time in head coach Lynn Farquhar's first three years guiding the program. Turner added an assist against the Flames during regulation as well.
Syracuse kicks off the 2026 season on Friday, August 28 with a 3 p.m. start at Fairfield University before capping the weekend on August 30 with a noon tilt at Northeastern in Boston.
