On the game:
"The first half we played well on defense and we were a pretty good basketball team. We didn't make any shots. We moved the ball well in the first half. We missed a lot of wide-open shots. We could've had 50-plus points in the first half. In the second half we did not play to our capabilities on defense. I think South Florida is a pretty good team. When we played well defensively we did a tremendous job. When we were not active in our defense we showed why we lost our last two games."
On Preston Shumpert:
"Preston is a great shooter. We need him when he is cocky and happy and moving. When he is like that he can play with anybody in the country. It is my job to get him back focused on that path."
On his health:
"I feel good. The doctors did a great job. They gave me a clean bill of health. I'm 100 percent. It is just a matter of taking it slow. I am not doing anything to jeopardize my health. I would not do that.
"I would like to thank everybody for the millions of cards and for everybody who thought about me and my family. This year more than any year I appreciate being here. I'm looking forward to the holidays. I hope everybody has a great holiday and that we all remember that we are pretty lucky to be doing what we're doing. We should be very thankful and blessed for it."
