Introductory Press Conference

“First of all I’m really excited about being a part of this program. Also, I’m excited about the opportunity to work with Coach Robinson. I’ve been at some places such as West Virginia and I’ve witnessed first-hand what the fans at Syracuse are like. I’m glad that they are going to be on my side this time. I think we have terrific fans. I have seen the support they give this program. I’m really excited about the opportunity.”
Do you feel any extra pressure considering the tradition at the running back position at Syracuse?
“No, I feel honored. As a running backs coach, you know about the great tradition of Syracuse University. I just feel honored to be a part of it. As a matter of fact in my opening statement, I wrote that down because I wanted to say that. But I got too fired up and I overlooked it. You look at the backs who have gone through here. I consider myself one who has had the opportunity to work with some outstanding backs. But I was telling someone earlier today, the backs here, from generation to generation, you can talk about the great backs. It’s not just in recent years, you can go all the way back to the Jim Browns and to the Floyd Littles. Then you can come up to the recent days and talk about some of the fantastic backs. I’m just excited about being a part of that.”
