The 1992 BIG EAST Special Team Player of the Year, O’Neill was one of the top punters in SU history. His career average of 41.1 ranks second with the Orange. He had a 72-yard boot against Maryland, the second longest in school history. O’Neill played with the New England Patriots and the Chicago Bears in the NFL. He was named to Syracuse University's All-Century team in November, 1999.
