A standout linemen for the Orange from 1956-1958, Luciano played in the 1959 College All-Star Game in Chicago, and was a third-round draft pick by the Detroit Lions that same year. After football, Luciano became a major league baseball umpire in the American league for 11 years, as well as writing the bestseller “The Umpire Strikes Back”.
