He helped anchor an offensive line that went 3-0-1 in four bowl games
during his tenure with the Orange. Flannery was drafted in the second round by the Houston Oilers where he made the NFL All-Rookie Team in 1991. He later enjoyed stops with the Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Rams. He was named to Syracuse University's All-Century team in November, 1999.
