“High school you could just overpower everybody but college it’s a level where a lot of these guys are just as strong as you and just as fast as you, and they’re even taller so it’s a lot harder.”

Junior guard Josh Wright
On how the team is coming along:
“It’s the first game of year, there’s almost thirty five games left in the year. We have a long way to go to be the team that we want to be. I think tonight we really took a step in the right direction.”
On Paul Harris:
“Paul came out and played good. He made some freshman mistakes, but then he also made plays that most freshman don’t make so I think he came out and played well tonight.”
On who he was looking for on the floor:
“Whoever is open. I’m not always going to pass to one player. I’m out there to get the whole team involved. Tonight (senior forward) Demetris (Nichols) was in the right positions and I was able to get him the ball a lot. That’s the way we want to play.”
