Opening statement
As much as we don’t want to admit it, I guess the main reality is that we ran out of gas. We played everyone on the roster. Overall the effort is tremendous and we played really hard. They give me everything that they have and I am glad to know they bring it every game.
On Nicole Michael’s performance
Like I say every game, Nicole is a tremendous player. If they had an early draft she would be gone. A one and done deal. She is a great athlete and a great kid. I am just really proud of the way she is performing right now.
On when Nicole Michael went down hurt
Scared. Not because I don’t believe we don’t have other players that can play, but because we just don’t have the bodies right now. We aren’t even going contact in practice right now because we are scared or someone getting hurt.
Overall I’m proud because they play hard. We set team goals and reach them but we just make a few mistakes down the stretch and we are just so young.
One thing we always talk about in the locker room and that is we are not going to make excuses. All we can do is to give maximum effort and if the shots fall short they fall short and we have to keep playing. We have to try and do all we can to stay in ball games and our goal is to be in the game at the 4:00 mark for a chance to win and besides the Penn State game every game at the 4:00 mark we have been in the game and had a chance to win.
