Coaching Accomplishments
• Mentored Andrew Robinson, who finished the 2007 season ranked fifth on SU’s single-season passing yards record list (2,192), sixth in completions (154), ninth in touchdown passes (13) and fifth in yards per game (199.3), and third in pass attempts (292).
• In 2007, the Orange set the school record for the most passing yards (2,750) in a season.
• At Syracuse, senior quarterback Perry Patterson finished the 2006 season ranked fourth on
Syracuse’s single-season completions record list (158), second in single-season attempts (300) and tied for ninth in touchdown passes (12).
• Earley helped Patterson improve his accuracy, as well. Patterson reversed his touchdown to interception ratio (2006: 12 TDs to 4 int.; 2005: 6 TDs to 11 int.).
• At Nevada, coached the nation’s leading rusher in 2001 and the nation’s leading receiver in 2002.
• Nevada ranked ninth nationally in offense in 2001, averaging more than 200 yards both passing and rushing.
• Nevada finished 12th nationally in total offense (434 yards per game) and 11th in passing (296 yards per game) in 2002.
• Cal State San Luis Obispo set or tied 28 offensive team records from 1994-96.
• Western Washington set or tied 18 offensive team records and ranked ninth nationally in total offense from 1989-91.
