Opening Statement:
“Defensively, we played well the whole game, offensively we did not do a good job attacking the zone. We didn’t get the ball to the rim enough – we let the shot blocker do what he does best. I didn’t think we moved the ball well against the zone. Second half, we didn’t rebound as well as we did the first half. I’m very disappointed in our offense. Until the second half, at the end there, we didn’t slide up well. We had many good looks, but we took too many in-between shots.
On blocked shots:
“He’s good – he’s the best shot blocker in the country. We have to get to the basket. I just don’t think we used good judgment. Arinze [Onuaku] went to the basket hard the whole game. I just don’t think he was involved the whole game. We’ve got to attack it better. We did get some good looks and didn’t make shots – we just don’t make shots. We try to get to the basket, but we weren’t very successful when we did get there.”
On Donte Greene’s performance:
“He didn’t shoot well tonight. He had some good looks, a lot of good looks. Paul [Harris] and Jonny [Flynn] kept us in there, they played tremendous. Back-to-back, two games, they played tremendous – better today than they were the other day. One turnover between the two of them, they just didn’t get much help.”
On Jonny Flynn’s game:
“He did look tired towards the end, but he’s one of those players that can play 40 minutes. He’s played a lot the past couple games, but he can go out and play tomorrow for 40 minutes if he had to.”
On the last play:
“We had Paul going back-door, but we didn’t see him – he was there. The second option was Jonny coming around, and he stepped up good. Two points is about all you’re going to get there.”
On stopping Connecticut:
“They played well, they were getting in the lane. [Jeff] Adrien hurt us the most, we didn’t do a good job coming up on him. I’m happy we held [A.J.] Price to 14 points. The biggest problem was our offense.”
On possibly fouling too early:
“No, we had to foul. We did everything we could to get back in this game. We shortened the game down, we finally started penetrating, what we should have been doing the whole game. The defense just didn’t do a good job.”
On Scoop Jardine's playing time:
