• Graduate student Greg Paulus completed 24-of-32 Saturday at Connecticut to finish first on the Orange’s single-season completions list with 193 … Paulus also set the school season record for completion percentage (.677) in 2009 … The performance also ranks third on the BIG EAST single-season list … Paulus’ 285 attempts this season is the fifth-most in Orange history.
• Senior Delone Carter gained 102 yards on 20 carries versus the Huskies to top the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season … Carter is the ninth different player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards and it’s the 12th 1,000-yard rushing season for an Orange back …. Carter ranks 19th on the school’s career rushing ledger (1,871) …. His 236 rushing attempts in 2009 is sixth on the team’s season record list … Carter added a rushing touchdown at Connecticut, his 11th of the season, tying him for 10th on the SU single-season list for rushing touchdowns.
• Sophomore running back Averin Collier made a career-long 36-yard reception to set up the Orange’s first touchdown … His 40 receiving yards Saturday at Connecticut was a career high.
• Senior tight end Mike Owen caught a four-yard pass from sophomore quarterback Ryan Nassib for his first touchdown of the season and the third of his career.
• Freshman wide receiver Alec Lemon’s three-yard touchdown catch was his first career score … Lemon set career highs for receptions (9) and receiving yards (140) Saturday … It was his first 100-yard receiving game.
• Senior receiver Lavar Lobdell made his first career touchdown reception in the third quarter Saturday against Connecticut … It was his final college game.
• Freshman safety Phillip Thomas intercepted his second pass of the season in the second half Saturday.
