Nicole Michael
How does it feel to beat Rutgers two years in a row?
“I didn’t even notice. Rutgers is a great team, but we are a great team too. Both teams competed hard.”
How do you feel about Coach saying that you are a leader on this team?
“Coach respects my game and he knows that I play hard. I always want to win and being a leader on this team is important. Scoring and being a go to player on this team is also very important. If coach tells me to win the game I’m going to go out there and do my best to win the game.”
How important is it to get the whole team involved in the game?
“It is very significant to get the whole team involved in the game and have everyone score. When that happens there isn’t a way we can be beat.”
Tyler Ash
What was the difference between your game versus Brown and this game tonight?
“It was a little different going from a non-conference game to the BIG EAST, but I am used to it.”
What did Coach tell you when Rutgers started making its run?
“Just go out and play hard. We can make mistakes, but we need to play with intensity in order to win the game.”
Kayla Alexander
How physical was Rutgers?
“I think they played a physical game, but we also came out physical. We definitely gave it back.”
Are you getting used to this pushing and shoving that is involved in BIG EAST play?
“Yes, after a while you get used to it.”
How different is it for you to go from a non-conference to a BIG EAST game?
“BIG EAST is a physical conference so you have to put yourself in the proper mindset. You have to go out there and be strong, physical and take it to them.”
Were you guys prepared for the physicality of this game?
“Yes, I think that we were prepared. We try to be as physical as we can during practice. We start preparing during practice by going out hard and we make ourselves ready to compete.”
How important is it for you guys to tackle these next three games on the road?
“It is very important. We need to be focused and get these wins.”
