“The first half I thought we got going offensively -- the best we’ve looked so far. We were pushing the ball and didn’t turn it over. We got some good looks and we made some shots. But, defensively we weren’t good. We made some simple mistakes that we need to work on obviously. We didn’t rebound as well as we’re going to need to. But in the second half, nobody could get into rhythm. It was just a lot of fouls and it’s hard to get going in those situations. Again, the first half was good and we’re getting ready for tomorrow night.”
How has James Southerland played the last couple of games:
“James has been really good. He was really good tonight. But he was good the other night too. If you look at the stat sheet, it looks better. But I just thought he was good and moved to the right places. I thought C.J. [Fair] was good. I thought both those guys played really, really well.”
Can you talk about the turnovers your defense forced?
“Well they made some mistakes, they made some errors, but I don’t know if they were forced or not. We played some man for a while and we did a decent job. Our defense was good, we were active, we really moved well. I thought Fab [Melo] was really good in the zone and I think we are looking for him a little more in the paint, but I think overall this was good.”
