Mr. Gay M. Pomeroy Football (Manager)

Gay Pomeroy was a manager of the football team from 1959 to 1962, including working with the 1959 National Championship squad. Pomeroy received his bachelor's degree from Syracuse in 1963 and, in 1966, he graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law with a Juris Doctorate. Pomeroy was admitted to the New York Bar in 1966 and the Florida Bar in 1979. While attending SU, he was the social chair of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) Social Fraternity and a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Delta Phi, Order of the Coif and the Justinian Honor Society.
Pomeroy is a partner at Mackenzie Hughes and chairman of its Estates Department. He is also counsel to the Central New York Community Foundation, a trustee of the Flora Bernice Smith Foundation, and a trustee of The Richard Mather Fund.
Pomeroy is very active within Syracuse University. He has served as an instructor in law. He is a board member and secretary of the Varsity Cub, an organization for which he also served as president. Pomeroy is a board member for the Syracuse University Hardwood Fund and has been the clock operator at SU men's basketball and men's lacrosse games for more than 25 years. He is also an active participant in the Syracuse community, serving on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Syracuse. He served as president and a director of Child and Family Service for eight years and was the president and director of CNY Estate Planning Council.
