David M. Levy, 1941 (Skiing)
After graduation Levy served in the U.S. Navy from 1941-45. During his time in the service he was a Commanding Officer of a P.T. boat which was the same command that John F. Kennedy held. When Levy's tour of duty was complete he entered Syracuse University's School of Law, graduated in 1948 and was admitted in the Fourth Judicial Department of the New York State Bar Association on July 8, 1948.
Today Levy continues to work at Levy, Feldman, Licata PC which is now known as Levy & Licata, PC in Rochester, N.Y., the place he began his legal career in 1948. From 1973-74 Levy served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. He has authored several publications including Appraisal Process in Condemnation, New York State Bar Association and Practicing Law Institute, 1968 and Discredit of the Cost Approach, New York State Bar Journal 1978.
Levy has served on the Boards of the Visiting Nurses Association for more than 10 years, the Bar Association of Monroe County, People's Cable Company and several ski clubs. He also served on several committees, including fundraising for John F. Kennedy during his presidential election and as a fundraiser for the Jewish Federation and the Cancer Research at Genesee Hospital. He is an active member of the Rochester Alumni Association.
