5'3'' Defensive Specialist/Libero
"Besides her skills and experience on the court, coming from a four-year school, Candace will be able to bring a lot of maturity off the court that will help our team be more successfull in both ways," said head coach Leonid Yelin
Timberlake, native of New Albany, Ind. will join the Orange as a transfer, following a year at the University of Southern Indiana at libero in 2011. Timberlake was a standout member of the back row, playing in all 31 of USI's matches, seeing action in 110 sets. Prior to her freshman year at USI, Timberlake attended New Albany High School where she earned four varsity letters as the starting libero.
Honors and Awards: While in high school she helped lead New Albany High School to a pair of sectional and regional championships. In addition, she was recognized as a two-time first-team All-State performer and a multiple-time All-Hoosier Hills Conference honoree. She also set the NAHS single-season record for digs as a sophomore in 2008.
Union Volleyball Club: Earned AAU All-America honors in 2007 and Junior Volleyball Director's Association honors in 2008.
