Schwedes graduated from SU in 1960. He lettered in football and lacrosse and captained the 1959 national championship team. He was a recipient of the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame Graduate Study Fellowship and went on to play professional football with the Boston Patriots. He is currently president of Impact Motivation, Incorporated.
