The NCAA AMA staff recently clarified that student-host money
used to cover the cost of entertainment may only be provided
based on a 24 hour period, and not a calendar day.
Institutions may provide prospective student athletes with $40
per 24 hours, and may not exceed a maximum of $80 to cover the
total amount of the entertainment allowance for both days of the
offi cial visit.
Therefore, the maximum amount of money that may be provided
to a student-host hosting a single prospective student athlete is
$80.
