“I think it was good for us, We learned a lot of things tonight. Good and bad. We were a little bit better in the second half. We did a lot of good things and we did some things that, you know, it’s the first time out, things that we’re going to have to do better. Overall, I think we looked good. They made us work on defense. They moved the ball pretty well. We did some things – some good things and some bad things.”
What about your big guys?
“I think we’re okay, we have a lot work to do. They had pretty good position, a good finish on a couple of plays. There’s stuff we have work on.”
What did you see from the team in this game?
“I think it was a learning experience. Look at the defense – it was pretty good for a while tonight. They were patient, they moved the ball. I thought they did a pretty good job overall defensively. There is room to improve.”
Do you think C.J. Fair has improved his dribbling and passing ability this offseason?
“I think he has worked hard. I think he’s gotten better. He missed a couple of easy shots early but he made some good ones in the second half. I think he rebounded well. I think he showed that he has improved his play.”
How would you assess Michael's (Gbinije) time at running point tonight?
“He did some good things. When they pressured us he showed where he is a little bit weaker. If we had the better ball handlers in there, if he had C.J. (Fair) or a couple guys out there that could handle the ball, he would have been okay. He had the freshman, but I think he did a good job.”
What did you think about your our defense?
“Our defense was okay. I think we had pretty good movement. There are some things we could get better at. I think in time we will.”
