H. Hiram Weisberg was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws from Syracuse in 1963 and was cited for being "a responsible citizen, devoted religious leader, a warmhearted and generous friend." He founded the Onondaga Supply Co. in 1918. He was a vital force in the building and development program of SU.
