George Brenneman (Posthumously)
George (Whitey) Brenneman graduated from Syracuse in 1929 and lettered in baseball. In 1938, he became a partner in the insurance firm of Ellis, Moreland and Ellis and later served as president and chairman of the board. He helped coordinate the first American Bowling Congress Tournament to be held in Syracuse and was president of the Syracuse Bowling Association. Both he and his son, Neil, served terms as president of the Varsity Club.
