Horace Landry, Honorary
Landry remains a whirlwind of activity in a wide range of affairs, ranging from athletics to the Salvation Army. He received his undergraduate degree from SU in 1934 and his Master's two years later. He joined the faculty of his alma mater in 1947 and continues to teach in the College of Law and School of Management. He was formerly chairman of the accounting department. A CPA, he is a trustee of the Scholarship Foundation of the National Society of Public Accountants and has lectured all over the country. Landry retired in 1977, as a partner of Coopers and Lybrand, remaining as a consultant. He has been selected as man of the year, educator and business man of the year, both in Syracuse, and received the George Arents Medal from Syracuse University in 1975.
