Wake Forest Head Coach Danny Manning
Syracuse Men’s Basketball
Syracuse vs. Wake Forest
January 13, 2015
Carrier Dome, Syracuse, NY
Kostantinos, where did that effort come from?
“You know Dinos, he shoots the ball like this in practice probably two to three times a week. He’s been getting good looks all season long. The lay has kind of been on the basket for him if you will and tonight, he made shots like days he does in practice. He got his feet set and guys did a good job of finding him when he was open and he certainly knocked down some big shots for us.”
Can you talk about the Carrier Dome as a venue from a coach standpoint and a player standpoint?
“I was very excited to come into the Carrier Dome and be a part of the game here. I had a chance to watch a lot of great ball games on TV. You walk into this building and you feel the history, you feel the tradition. There have been some really good players and good coaches in here. Coach Boeheim has been here I think 37 years now and this place has seen some really good ball under his era.”
What did you make of Christmas this obviously being his biggest game of the year?
“He played well. I made the decision not to double down because I didn’t want to give up any three pointers to the guys who were shooting them so well. He made shots. I thought him and Thomas battled; Devin fouled out and Christmas ended up with four. We were trying to post up on him whenever we could and make him work on the defensive end.”
