What are your thoughts on your team’s performance tonight?
“I thought we played hard, but I’m disappointed on the way we played on offense. We didn’t play with any confidence. We have a lot of guys playing them (Syracuse) for their first time. It’s hard to simulate what they do in practice, with their length. There were spots on the floor we were trying to get the ball to. I thought we were very hesitant to throw it there. Then, obviously, we didn’t make shots when we had them.”
Why was your team tentative on offense?
“We’re just not playing well.When you don’t play well that’s what happens, especially, if you haven’t shot the ball well and we haven't shot the ball well in a couple of games. They’re trying, they’re just in a funk right now and they’ve got to get out of it.”
After you cut the lead to seven, how did Syracuse pull away?
“It was a bad possession (and) we gave a straight-line drive layup. That’s what I just talked to our team about. You fight to get back into the game, get it to seven. Then, we gave up three straight layups. That’s the problem with our team right now.”
