Syracuse Player Quotes - Boston College
Syracuse Men’s Basketball
Syracuse vs. Boston College
January 13, 2016
Carrier Dome, Syracuse, N.Y.
Tyler Roberson, Junior, Forward
Can you talk about your rebounding tonight?
“I think I was just going after it. As a whole, I think we did a very good job as a team of getting rebounds and limiting their second-chance opportunities.”
Was Boston College trying to exploit something different on the glass?
“No, I think it was the usual. I think we did a good job against North Carolina and we did a good job today, I think we have to do it again next time out.”
Can you talk about the team’s defense?
“I think Eli Carter got a couple early threes and then we cracked down on him. We know he can shoot it and things run through him for them, so we focused on trying to slow him down.”
Michael Gbinije, Graduate Student, Guard
Can you talk about getting in the lane more tonight?
”We want to put pressure on teams, and hopefully that’ll open our 3-point shooting.”
Can you talk about your upcoming road trip and how tough it will be?
“We’re in the type of league where anyone can beat anyone on any given night. That can be positive for us or negative for us, so we just want to come out and play free and stay competitive.”
Malachi Richardson, Freshman, Guard
Does this win give you confidence playing in the ACC?
“Definitely. We obviously play in a tough league, so I think it’s good for us. I think it’s nice to get your first win out of the way.”
Can you talk about the team’s defensive effort?
“I think they had an issue with our zone. They weren’t able to get into the zone and finish or get those open looks from three off it. Eli (Carter) opened up with two early threes but after that we closed out on him well.”
