To our former student-athletes,
As we begin November, we are excited about the year to date and the opportunity ahead. Field hockey, men’s cross-country, and men’s soccer have continued to perform at a high level competing for conference and national titles, and Coach Babers announced his arrival to the ACC with an exciting home win over nationally ranked Virginia Tech! Additionally, we’ve welcomed John Wildhack to campus as our Director of Athletics, and it is wonderful to have someone who bleeds Orange running our department!
In addition to this success, I am excited to announce a new opportunity for the Syracuse University Varsity Club and SU Athletics. This is the third year of the Orange Team Challenge, since its inception we have seen a record number of former student-athletes become involved with the Athletic Department. Moving forward, anyone who participates in the Orange team Challenge – giving $44+ to the Department – will also become a member of the Varsity Club. We are excited about this new partnership, and hope it will see our former student-athletes further engage with the Department.
Finally, we hope to see and hear from you regularly. You can keep track of team reunions that are scheduled, and let us know what you are up to! Further, if you’re ever back on campus, let us know!
Thank you for all that you do, our Department would not be what it is today without your work as a student-athlete and your support after leaving SU.
