Coach Mullin Quotes - St. John's
Postgame Quotes

Can you explain a 33-point win against Syracuse in the Carrier Dome?
"I can’t really explain it, especially the game we are coming off... it has been up and down. One thing with our team and sometimes people do not want to hear it... we are young. This is a good experience. It feels better. Tt is a good experience and it is how you learn. I wish there was a way I could do it for them a different way. Everyone goes through it and that is what I keep telling them. They want to be a winning team and that is the process they have to keep going through and in the long run they will be rewarded. You can’t dictate the time... just got to keep focus and keep playing."
On your way up here, did you have some old memories trickle in from the old playing days?
"I hadn’t been here since 1985. I got a lot of great experiences here beyond St. John’s. I played the National Sports Festival, Empire State Games and spent a lot of time up here, but when I think of Syracuse, I think of Coach B (Boeheim) and the class and the great career he has and the way he has done things. I try to emulate that."
