Celebrating 20 Seasons of Women's Lacrosse
The Syracuse women’s lacrosse program played its first game on March 14, 1998 and has advanced to the national semifinals for five consecutive years. The Orange enjoyed immediate success, winning the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship in 1999 and making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2000. Overall, Syracuse has competed in the national tournament 14 times and has advanced to the national semifinals five consecutive years.
With team success comes individual honors. Four players have been finalists for the Tewaaraton Award, while four players have earned IWLCA Player of the Year accolades. In addition, 24 players have earned Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-America honors. Check out the top 20 highlights on the below timeline.
