NFL Draft History
Syracuse has had 199 players selected in the NFL Draft. Twenty of those players were taken in the first round, including 1962 No. 1 overall pick Ernie Davis. Rob Moore was the No. 1 pick of the New York Jets in the 1990 NFL Supplemental Draft.
In 1936, Ed Jontos became the first Orange alum taken during the league's annual selection meeting. He was drafted in the fifth round by the New York Giants. The 1953 and 1961 drafts featured seven Syracuse selections, the most in program history.
