Carrier Dome, Syracuse, N.Y.
Frank Howard, Jr., Guard
How will this break between games help you?
“It’s going to be relaxing. I think whenever you go through a losing streak, it is very tough to get out there. It’s a slump. Your attitude and energy are down. We have a lot of young guys and they aren’t used to this. I think this break will help us a lot. The next few days will be great for us.”
How can you get a more consistent offense?
“When Tyus (Battle) gets going, that’s when we are really going.”
Oshae Brissett, Fr., Forward
What do you know about Boston College?
“They have those 2-3 guards that they run their offense through. That is really going to be the focus the next couple of days.”
Paschal Chukwu, Jr., Center
How can you keep rebounding consistently?
“We just have to go after it. When my teammates drive down, and I don’t get the drop off, my next thought is to track the ball.”
Matt Moyer, R-Fr., Forward
How hard was the four-game losing streak?
“Not only did we lose four in a row, but they were close games. All four of those hurt a lot. At this point, we have to win.”
How are you and the rest of the young players on the team adjusting to college basketball?
“I think we have all figured out now that college basketball is a lot more up and down than high school basketball. You have to adjust to that. I’m young too. We just have to deal with the ups and downs. One thing that we can control that Coach tells us is our effort. Things aren’t always going to in our favor, we are going to make mistakes, but we just have to keep up our effort.”
