How special is it when Buddy and Marek can provide offense?
“It’s great. It’s what we need to be a really good team. We need everybody coming in here to do something on defense and offense. With Marek and Buddy, we needed some of their offensive spark.”
What do you think of the competition level of the ACC?
“It’s the best conference in the country, hands down. Every game is a dogfight no matter who it is. It doesn’t matter what their record is. You just got to be ready to go every game.”

How much confidence have you gained from how you have been playing recently?
“I think a lot. Just that I’ve got minutes and I show up every game. I know the offense will come and I’ll just play defense.”
How important have practices been?
“They help a lot. When we’re doing it in practice, it’s like we’re doing it in the game. If you are not concentrated in practice, you will not be concentrated in the game. You have to go all the time 100%.”

How has Tyus been playing differently than he did in November when he was playing point guard?
“Having to do it all game is a little different. I think he did a great job on both sides of the floor – pushing the ball, getting to his spot, and making some great passes.”
Do you think this Pitt team is better than last season?
“Definitely. They've got some pitbulls this year. They got guys that don’t quit. They kind of remind me of team last year a little bit. They've got some guys in the whole game, some young guys. They don’t take their foot off the pedal. It’s always good when you can get a tough game out of Pittsburgh - for us and the fans. We enjoy playing them and they have a great coach over there too. You can definitely tell the change of the culture, even the little things. They’re running everywhere, putting things together. They are on the right track. They've got some great young players.”
