- Host Louisville blanked Syracuse, 30-0, in an ACC matchup.
- Syracuse was shutout for the first time since 2016, when Clemson held the Orange scoreless.
- Freshman Sean Tucker (RB) ran 16 times for 93 yards.The 93 yards represent the third-best effort of his rookie season.
- Redshirt senior Rex Culpepper (QB) replaced freshman starter Jacobian Morgan (QB) in the fourth quarter. Morgan left the game with an inury.

- Redshirt junior Ifeatu Melifonwu ended a Louisville second-period right before the half with an interception. It was his first theft of the campaign.
- Melifonwu finished with seven tackles, equaling his best career showing.
- Sophomore Geoff Cantin-Arku (LB) tallied his first quarterback sack in the third quarter, forcing a 10-yard loss.
- Redshirt sophomore Caleb Okechukwu (DL) picked up his first collegiate sack late in the game. He took down Evan Conley for a 10-yard loss.Â
- Redshirt senior Nolan Cooney (P), who is aiming at Syracuse’s single-season punt average standard, punted six times for a 44.5 average. Two of his kicks landed inside the 20 and he had two kicks of 50 yards or more.
- The school standard is 44.46, by Sean Reali in 1996. Cooney is averaging 45.2 yards per kick on 60 boots.
