Coaching Accomplishments

•In 2011, mentored linebackers Dyshawn Davis, ECAC Defensive Rookie of the Year, and Marquis Spruill, All-BIG EAST Second Team selection.
• SUNY Cortland C-Club 2010 Hall of Fame Class inductee
• Helped the 2010 SU defense advance in rankings in total defense (7th from 37th), first downs allowed (12th from 27th), pass defense (10th from 85th), pass efficiency defense (14th from 113th) and scoring defense (13th from 81st).
• Coached the 2009 Orange defense which improved in the national statistical rankings in third down defense (28th from 117th), first downs allowed (27th from 104th), rush defense (13th from 101st), total defense (37th from 114th), tackles for loss (15th from 104th) and sacks (6th from 100th).
• His career record of 152-37 (.804 win percentage) was the best among active junior college coaches.
• He has mentored more than 150 student-athletes who went on to Division I schools, and more than 600 who moved on to four-year colleges.
• In 18 years as the head coach at Nassau Community College, led the team to 12 Junior College Bowl games.
• He was also a professor in the Department of Health at Nassau Community College.

Playing Accomplishments

• Inducted into the SUNY Cortland Athletics Hal of Fame October 2010.

• Excelled in football, wrestling and baseball at Cortland State.
