Prior to joining the Orange, Edinger served as the director of strength and conditioning at Bowling Green for two seasons, overseeing the strength and conditioning programs for BGSU’s 18 sports. Before his stint at Eastern Illinois, Edinger was the head strength coach at Central Missouri. Edinger was directly responsible for all aspects of the Mules’ strength and conditioning program. He also previously worked as the head strength coach for football and volleyball at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas in 2008.

At Central Missouri, Edinger worked with quarterback Eric Czerniewski, who won the 2010 Harlon Hill Trophy as the top player in Division II football. Edinger’s stint at Eastern Illinois included coaching current San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and record-setting receiver Erik Lora. NFL receivers Gehrig Dieter, Roger Lewis, linebacker Gabe Martin and 2015 Mid-American Conference Player of the Year Matt Johnson are just of few of Edinger’s successful Bowling Green protégés.
Edinger is a 2006 graduate of the University of Kansas. He earned his master’s degree from Missouri in 2008.
