Sean Teter was named an assistant strength and conditioning coach for football in February 2018. He came to Syracuse after serving as the head strength and conditioning coordinator at Central Missouri for six years.

At Central Missouri, Teter was responsible for implementing the strength and conditioning programs for all 17 of the school’s intercollegiate sports. He directly supervised football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, men’s and women’s golf, wrestling and bowling.

Teter worked with two national championship teams during his stint in Warrensburg. The Mules men’s basketball team captured the NCAA Division II title in 2014 and the Jennies women’s soccer team won it all in 2017.  Â

Teter joined the Central Missouri staff in December of 2010 as a graduate assistant in strength and conditioning before leading the department.

Prior to working at Central Missouri, Teter was a strength and conditioning intern at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas.

A two-year football letterman at Butler Community College, Teter transferred to Kansas and earned his bachelor’s degree in sports science from KU in 2010. He graduated from Central Missouri in 2016 with a master’s degree in physical education.

Teter is SCCC certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) and holds a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Performance certification.
