At SU: Three letters … Finished his career 10th all-time at Syracuse with 2,621 career passing yards and sixth in school history in passing yards per game (137.9) ... Fourth on the Orange’s career list for highest completion percentage (.595, 250-420) and tied with Todd Norley for eighth in team history with 250 career completions ... Tied for ninth among Orange signal callers with 13 career rushing touchdowns … Won the 2014 ‘Cuse Award for Play of the Year for his game-winning touchdown pass to Josh Parris against Boston College (2013 season) and the 2014 Syracuse 8 Courage Award … Member of the Spring 2014 and Fall 2015 Athletic Director’s Honor Rolls ... 2015 ACC Honor Roll selection.
Senior Year (2015): Team captain ... Started the opener against Rhode Island (9/4) and suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury midway through the first quarter ... Was 0-for-2 passing with one interception and had one carry for two yards before getting hurt.
Junior Year (2014): Started the first five games of the year before suffering a season-ending injury versus Louisville (10/3) … Finished the season 83-of-145 passing for 983 yards with one touchdown and four interceptions … Rushed 52 times for 292 yards and six touchdowns … Against Villanova (8/29), was 10-of-17 passing for 94 yards and had three carries for 25 yards ... Threw for a career-high 294 yards and set season bests for completions (22) and attempts (38) versus Notre Dame (9/27). Threw a touchdown pass against the Irish and also rushed for 26 yards and one score on seven carries ... Rushed for 92 yards and three touchdowns at Central Michigan (9/13) to become the first SU quarterback since Donovan McNabb versus Miami (Fla.) in 1998 to score three rushing TDs. Also connected on 20-of-30 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown ... Sophomore Year (2013): Ranked seventh on the SU single-season record list for completion percentage (.612), connecting on 167 of his 263 pass attempts … Totaled 1,638 yards through the air with 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions … Made his debut under center in the fourth quarter at Northwestern (9/7) and was 2-of-4 passing for 22 yards and had three carries for 30 yards and a touchdown on the ground … Came off the bench versus Wagner (9/14) and was 15-of-18 for 265 yards and three touchdowns. Also rushed three times for 22 yards … In his first career start against Tulane (9/21), was 16-of-21 for 181 yards with a career-high four touchdown passes, and rushed six times for 39 yards … Against Clemson (10/5), was 8-of-24 for 52 yards and had 13 carries for 57 yards. High School: Three-time captain for head coach Chris Higgins … 2010 New York Post and New York Daily News All-City selection … 2010 New York Post All-Queens First Team honoree … As a senior, threw for 1,289 yards and 10 TDs on 93-of-151 passing and rushed for 1,218 yards and 14 TDs on 123 carries … 2009 New York Post First Team All-Queens and All-CHSFL selection … As a junior, completed 86-of-148 passes for 1,187 yards and 12 TDs and had 533 yards rushing and three TDs on 105 carries … As a sophomore, threw for 804 yards and nine TDs on 40-of-105 passing and rushed for 1,267 yards on 148 carries with 15 TDs … Also lettered in basketball, helping the team to the 2010 city and state titles … In 2011, led Christ the King to the Catholic High School Athletic Association Class AA Championship.
