AJ Schaufler joined Syracuse in May of 2022 as the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance.
Schaufler is responsible for the day-to-day compliance operations of the football program, in addition to the other teams he works with, to ensure adherence to NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference and University rules and regulations.
Before joining the Orange, Schaufler spent nearly five years at Monmouth University, serving as both an Associate and Assistant Athletics Director in that time. He also has stops at Stony Brook, Fresno State, Columbia and Coppin State Universities in his athletics career.
A 2010 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Schaufler also played lacrosse for the Mountaineers. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor in 2013 from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
