Meagan Bevins came to Syracuse in July 2017 as assistant athletic trainer. Her primary role is the injury prevention, diagnosis and care for the women's soccer team. In 2017-18, Bevins worked with the Orange men’s and women’s cross country and men’s and women’s track and field teams.
Bevins joined the Orange after working the previous two years as an athletic trainer at Marshall University. While with the Thundering Herd, she oversaw the medical care of the women’s soccer and track and field teams.
Prior to Marshall, Bevins was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for one year with a primary responsibility of men’s basketball at East Stroudsburg University, while also providing coverage of field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s basketball and wrestling.
From 2011 to 2014, Bevins was the primary athletic trainer for men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, women’s lacrosse, baseball and softball at Sewanee: The University of the South.
Bevins was a student athletic trainer at Eastern Kentucky University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in athletic training in 2011. She received a Master of Science in athletic training from East Stroudsburg in 2015.
