Abby Hansen joined the Syracuse volleyball staff as a volunteer assistant in August 2024.
Hansen had a decorated college volleyball career as a middle blocker at Oregon (2019-22) and Central Florida (2022-24). With the Ducks, she was a two-time PAC-12 Defensive Player of the Week honoree and was named to the Pac-12 honor roll on three occasions. At Central Florida, she earned AAC First Team All-American honors in 2022 and also helped the Knights win the AAC title that year.
After completing her college playing career, Hansen competed for the Orlando Valkyries in the spring of 2024. It was their inaugural season in the new Pro Volleyball Federation.
Hansen earned her bachelor’s degree in general science in June 2021 with minors in business administration and sport business. She completed a master’s degree in sport prevention at Oregon in June 2022 and a master’s in healthcare administration from Central Florida in August 2024.
A Phoenix, Arizona, native, Hansen is a graduate of Desert Vista High School.
