Anthony Averett joined the Syracuse recruiting staff in June, 2026, after a playing career which saw him win two National Championships and spend seven years in the NFL.
Averett spent his college career as a defensive back at Alabama where he won National Championships in 2015 and 2017. He finished his career with 98 tackles 16 pass breakups and an interception across 36 games.
He started his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens after being selected in the fourth round in the 2018 Draft. He recorded 114 tackles, 15 for a loss, and three interceptions. He also spent time with the Raiders, 49ers, Lions, Steelers and Texans.
