Ashlyn O'Shea joined the Syracuse women's soccer staff as a volunteer assistant coach in the Spring of 2025.
In addition to working at a number of soccer camps in recent years, O'Shea was a staff member with Soccer For Success, a program that emphasized youth development. She is active with youth soccer in the Syracuse area.
She has earned United States Soccer Federation (USSF) licenses for 4v4, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11. She owns a USSF D license and is working toward a C license.
She earned a master's degree in sport coaching with an emphasis in sport psychology from the United States Sports Academy in 2024. O'Shea graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in psychology, with a minor in coaching, from Buffalo in 2023. She received Dean's List recognition in each semester she attended.
While a member of the Buffalo soccer program, she played as a defender and midfielder. The team won the Mid-American Conference title in 2022. O'Shea served for three seasons as the team's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representative.
O'Shea played one season at Woodlands High School (Texas) and was named the Newcomer of the Year. She then was a captain and three-year starter with the Houston Dash Development Academy. O'Shea also competed for IMG Development Academy. O'Shea was a U.S. Soccer Training Center participant from 2014-to-2017.
Her father, Nick O'Shea, coached at Oakland from 1995-to-2014. Her mother, Leslie-ann Graham, competed with the Canadian National Team from 1993-to-1996. A sister, Sydney O'Shea, played soccer at McNeese State, while another sister, Rylee O'Shea, competed in soccer at New College of Florida.
