Dalton Coppola joined the Syracuse Athletic Communications staff in July of 2025 as a Communications Assistant. In the role, he served as the primary contact for Volleyball and Women’s Rowing while aiding as a secondary contact for men’s basketball. He has served as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications since February, 2026, acting as the primary contact for the Women's Lacrosse program, a secondary contact for Football and communications oversight for the Volleyball program.

He oversaw social media and media relations efforts for the Women's Lacrosse program's inaugural season under head coach Regy Thorpe, during which the program saw historic growth in social media engagement, impressions and audience size. During the 2025 volleyball season, the program's social media accounts saw rapid growth as well, expanding audience size and engagement levels.

Prior to his time at Syracuse, he worked at Emory University from 2023 to 2025 as a Sports Information and Communications Graduate Assistant in Atlanta, Georgia. At Emory, he was the primary contact for the nationally-ranked Men’s Golf, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Men’s Tennis programs. He aided in stat keeping, writing press releases and managing social media for the 2024-25 Learfield Director Cup Division III Champions. While in Atlanta, he earned his master's in Sport Administration from Georgia State University.

Coppola earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023, studying Political Science and Creative Writing. During his time in Pittsburgh, he served as the Sports Editor for the award-winning student newspaper The Pitt News. Following his time as Sports Editor, he joined Pitt football as a Strategic Communications Intern for his final semester.
