Sam Otis joined the Syracuse cross country and track & field programs as an assistant coach in September 2025. Prior to returning home to Central New York, Otis served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Pittsburgh, during the 2025 track season, working with both the men’s and women’s programs.
A former Pitt standout with a degree in film and media studies, Otis competed for the Panthers for five years and captained the men’s cross-country team for three of those seasons.
