Stephen Clacherty joins the Syracuse University Department of Athletics with over twenty years of experience at the NCAA Division I level. Hired in November 2024, Clacherty began his career in intercollegiate athletics as a compliance intern with the Orange in 2003, and has since been employed at Seton Hall University, the University of Miami, Stony Brook University, as well as Long Island University. Â
With an undergraduate degree in Sports Management from SUNY Cortland, Clacherty also holds a masters degree in Public Relations from the University of Miami along with a law degree from St. John’s University. He is also licensed to practice law in the State of New York.Â
