Broadcast engineer Tom White joined the Syracuse Athletics Production department in July 2017 after working at Spectrum Sports (Formerly Time Warner Cable SportsChannel) for 26 years, including the past three as the senior manager of remote operations and engineering. In that role, he was responsible for the technical operations of all remote production facilities. At Syracuse, he oversees the technical operations for all remote productions, including equipment and transmission.

At TWCS, White served in various roles as his career progressed, including as the director of operations (2011-14), production and engineering manager (2005-11), engineering manager (2004-05), engineering coordinator (1998-04), and studio/remote engineer (1992-98). White began his tenure at TWCS as the schedule director/master control operator, when the organization was known as Newchannels in 1991.

He started in the broadcast industry as a technical assistant for the Cayuga Community College Telecommunications Department in 1990. For more than 20 years, White has worked as a freelance professional for various clients and networks that include ESPN, FOX, CBS, NBC, MLB Network, CSP Mobile, NCAA Lacrosse for CBS Sports Network, and Cornell University and LeMoyne College commencements.

White graduated from Cayuga Community College with a dual degree in broadcasting and broadcasting technology.
