Murray Earns ACC Player of the Week Honors

Murray is named ACC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Syracuse senior Alyssa Murray is this week's ACC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week after her performance in the Orange's win against Duke. Murray tied her season high with seven points, including the 300th of her career, to lead No. 3/3 Syracuse to a 19-15 win against the No. 8/9 Blue Devils. It is Murray's second Player of the Week honor this season.
Murray scored three goals and dished out a team-high four assists against Duke. She assisted on SU's first two goals of the second half and had two goals during a 5-0 scoring run that gave the Orange its largest lead of the game. She leads the team in assists (23) and ranks second on the squad in points (49) and goals (26).
With her performance against the Blue Devils, Murray now has 301 career points, making her just the third player in the history of the program to reach the 300-point plateau. Murray ranks third on Syracuse's all-time scoring list behind current assistant coach Katie Rowan '09 (396 pts.) and Christina Dove '10 (335 pts.).
Murray and the Orange are in action tonight against No. 18/17 Albany at 6 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
