
Mastracci Begins Racing on Monday

Seeking her second Olympic medal of her career
RIO DE JANEIRO – Former Syracuse University women's rower Natalie Mastracci '13 will begin competing at the 2016 Olympic Games on Monday morning. Mastracci is a member of the Canadian coxed eight boat.
Mastracci and her fellow Canadian rowers will race in the preliminary heats starting at 7:50 a.m. EST. Competition will conclude on Saturday morning with the final at 10:04 a.m. EST.
This marks the second time Mastracci will represent Canada at the Olympic Games. The Thorold, Ontario native won a silver medal with the Canadian coxed eight crew at the 2012 Olympics in London.
In her collegiate career at Syracuse, Mastracci was as a four-time Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) All-Region honoree and a two-time CRCA First Team All-American. She competed for the Orange from 2007-10 before training full-time with the Canadian national team. Mastracci returned for her final season of eligibility in 2012.
