Two Podium Finishes Highlight Day 2

Aidan Tooker and Paige Stoner's podium finishes in the 3000-meter steeplechase highlighted day two of the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships for Syracuse.
Tooker, a freshman, finished second behind Louisville's Edwin Kibichy (8:45.70), crossing the line in 8:54.85 to earn his silver medal. Stoner found the podium at an ACC Championship for the second time in her career, taking third in the women's race with a time of 10:06.98.
In addition to Stoner's podium-worthy race, Sydney Leiher picked up points in the race for the Orange as well, taking seventh in 10:23.38.
In addition to the steeplechase final, a number of runners found their way to Sunday's final events, beginning with Tia Thevenin in the 100-meter hurdles.
Thevenin raced to a time of 13.42 seconds, which was 2nd in her heat and fifth overall to move onto tomorrow's final.
In the ensuing men's race, defending ACC Champion Freddie Crittenden III (13.76 seconds) and Chevis Armstead (14.36) both advanced as well with the second and seventh fastest times overall, with Crittenden coming away with the win in his heat.
In the 400-meters, Kadejhia Sellers (53.29) also moved on to Sunday's final based on time, with her mark ranked sixth after the prelims.

Winston Lee then posted the third-fastest time in the 100, just 0.02 seconds off his season-best time, finishing in 10.57 seconds.

Paul Lovell finished 15th in the 800, running to a time of 1:51.10.
In the long jump, Randall Johnson placed 12th overall with a mark of 6.76 meters. Teammate Pascal Bastien finished 15th after carrying 6.54 meters to close out the day.

Action on the track begins at 5 p.m. on Sunday on ACC Network Extra.
